Scripts/Books to Movies Winning Finalist !
Rudy J. Miera’s stage play -“Adelita Sanchez – Harvey Girl” is a Finalist in the Latino Literacy Now program designed to facilitate the production of more movies and television shows by and about Latinos. Veteran actor Edward James Olmos, the Latino Literacy Now Board Chair, made the announcement at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre Complex in Hollywood. Along with the works by the four other Drama category Finalists, Rudy’s script will be presented to top Television Networks and Film Production companies for production consideration.

Film Awards :
“Mikailwitl” was screened in Tupelo, Mississippi, ( hometown of Elvis Presley ) in 2010 as an official selection of the Tupelo Film Festival. “Mikailwitl” was also featured at the XicanIndie Film Fest XV in Denver, Colorado in April, 2013.
The XicanIndie Film Fest is an annual four day festival that showcases the best in Chicano independent film as well as featured Latino World Cinema.
“Mikailwitl” was a Winner of the Best Film in the ‘Wildcard’ Category of the New Mexico Filmmaker’s Showcase, Fall, 2012 and toured the state and was broadcast in a variety of cities.
“Shakespeare’s Women”, Episode #6 in the ‘Drive-By Shakespeare‘ series was the Winner of the Best Film in the ‘Wildcard’ Category’ for the New Mexico Filmmaker’s Showcase in 2011. Along with the other winning films, “Shakespeare’s Women” toured the state and was broadcast in a variety of cities.
